The LCD Display panel is being removed from the SPIP. When you order a SPIP to replace a failed unit, the replacement may be shipped with a blank plate covering the display location. The SPIP is fully functional without the display as it was only informational.

The SPIP is functioning when any of the three LEDs on the left buttons are green (Data ACQ, Pedestal, and unnamed). When the SPIP is initially powered on and boot-up is complete, all LEDs turn green to indicate the unit is functioning. All information previously available on the SPIP display is available on the RDA HCI and/or in Performance Data. Additional information may be found in EHB 6-513.
